Rita Mullen - MSc (Arch)
Rita is an Architectural Designer experienced in contemporary design within a historical context. Her interests are in the fields of conservation, revitalisation and sustainability in building construction.
During her architecture studies at Vienna University of Technology she specialised in Conservation and Landscape Design; one of her student projects won an Austrian Building Industry competition and was built and exhibited in Cologne. She is particularly interested in sustainable architecture and has attended design courses on redevelopment of historic buildings, seminars on permaculture and roof greening amongst others.
Prior to joining Nick Cox Architects, Rita worked in private practices in Austria and Switzerland on projects for both public and private entities, including school refurbishments, residential buildings and buildings of public interest. Since joining the team at NCA, she has worked on stone repairs at Blenheim Palace and renovation of stained glass windows at Winchester Cathedral as well as projects for private clients.
