The property is an illustration of the English country house in decline with decay of the interiors being halted but little or no restoration work being carried out. Nick Cox Architects has undertaken:
- A fabric inspection report of the entire property and associated buildings
- Conversion of an open fronted outbuilding into a modern catering outlet
- Several phases of masonry, ironwork and window repairs
- Investigation, study and monitoring of the plaster ceilings
- Review of the fire doors and fire compartmentation
- Sensitive consolidation of friable stonework to the entrance portico.
